Kickstarting professional lives
Firstly, we would like to thank you for your contribution to many successful HR missions. Our warmest wishes for the new year!
Secondly, we’re shining a light on a charitable cause that’s close to our heart. YouthStart is a Belgian nonprofit organization that helps young people of diverse backgrounds kickstart their professional lives through free courses in entrepreneurship. To do so, they rely solely on donations.

A valuable contribution to society
In 2021, 1,093 youngsters took part in the 8-day course that YouthStart offers. The results? Immediately after completion, 47% of participants go back to school, find a job or start their own businesses. One year after completion, another 30% followed suit.

Better work for all
YouthStart aims to boost young people’s confidence and help them become the entrepreneurs of their own lives. During the course, professional coaches invite opportunity-seeking youths aged 16 to 30 to develop their talents and business skills.
Each participant materializes their ideas in a business plan based on their personal interests. Additionally, the youngsters learn how to present themselves and pitch their ideas like a professional: valuable skills that will help them on their path to better work and a better life. Which is exactly what Balance HR is all about.
* Balance HR will match all donations, up to a maximum of 500 EUR in total. The action runs until January 31, 2023.
